Nick and Sherry Mikus founded Nick’s Ristorante in 2010. After a forty-four plus year career of service to our country, as an active duty Army Officer and then as a Civil Servant, Nick decided to fulfill his and Sherry’s dream of owning a very special restaurant.
Their vision was of a place that they themselves would love to frequent as a customer- an environment that felt like an extension of their home- cozy, welcoming, and full of happiness. With that, they combined Nick’s strong Italian roots with his love of great steaks and cigars to create Nick’s Ristorante. Nick’s is indeed a one of a kind establishment built on the foundation of having friends over for dinner and cocktails in a comfortable and engaging atmosphere.
In 2013, Tom Chapman came aboard as Executive Chef. Tom brought over twenty-five years of restaurant experience including all positions from dishwasher to owner. Then, in October 2020, Nick offered Tom the opportunity to purchase the restaurant. It was a dream come true and a smooth transition for both because Tom holds dear to his heart the same underlying concept that Nick embraced: care for everybody and treat them as family!
Tom mirrors Nick’s philosophy that people who come thru our doors are our friends, not just customers. As such, he is committed to always providing fine food and drinks, but more importantly- an unmatched feeling of warmth, appreciation, and friendship that they will not receive anywhere else.
Over the past fifteen years, Nick, Tom, and current Executive Chef, Joey Kindred, have created a menu featuring Certified Angus Beef, fresh seafood, third generation Italian recipes, and homemade desserts. Our food is paired with an eclectic and contemporary selection of wines and cocktails, all designed to be enjoyed in the cozy dining room, friendly bar/bistro, and in our plush relaxing cigar lounge.
